Project Management Consultant, Design and Technology Innovation Program

Manage development of new Master’s degree program including facilitating updates to administrative systems, ensuring all stakeholders and partner departments are integrated into plan, and driving milestones to program launch. Interim Director, Master's Programs Admissions, Recruiting and Marketing

Provide project management support to the admissions, recruiting, and marketing team. Assist in the onboarding and training of new Admissions Officer 1 and new Director of Admissions, Recruiting, and Marketing. Meet with all stakeholders to ensure clarity on processes, deliverables, timelines, and outcomes.  Interface with deliverable owners to communicate documentation needs and timelines, including follow up to ensure timelines are met.

Provided project management support to executive educational programming for Fortune 100 company SVPs and VPs. Planned and facilitated team meetings for parallel programming, built and managed Project Plans, Communication Plans, Action Items, managed changing priorities and subsequent adaptations.

Project Manager, Novella Prep, Rye, NY

Provided project management support for college preparatory company. Identified and tracked special projects and developed tracking documents for projects, communications, and indexes of podcasts, blogs, webinars, and presentations. Researched potential podcast guests, developed blog content into podcast scripts. 

Interim Business Manager, Professional Masters Programs, Pratt Engineering, Duke University

Managed financial and HR affiliated tasks including faculty appointment and compensation letters, teaching assistant timecards, tuition projections, expense reports, and job postings. Provided budget development support, wrote guidelines for student competition prizes, wrote guidelines for vendor engagement, communicated with all stakeholders, onboarded new business manager.

Orientation Project Manager, Professional Masters Programs, Pratt Engineering, Duke University

Led planning, execution, and oversight of International Week and Masters’ Programs Orientation for 400 students. Organized programming, schedules, volunteers, logistics, and communications. Provided day-of oversight and on-site management and implementation. Held programming debrief interviews and authored report outlining future-state goals.

Project Manager, Enterprise Engineering Institute, Pratt School of Engineering, Duke University

Led stakeholders in the development and implementation of Financial Technology and Cybersecurity masters’ programs. Developed guidance document for establishing new academic plans. Led corporate partnership outreach initiative for Online program. Supported development of online educational goals across degree programs.

Student Accommodation Project Manager, Fuqua School of Business, Duke University

Facilitated transfer of classroom materials into tools and methods accessible to student accommodation support. Interfaced with faculty, staff, student, and third-party vendors to identify, communicate, and track documentation and timelines. Drove deliverables to ensure compliance with regulatory and school guidelines.

Managed transition of recruitment position from Educational Programs team to HR. Business Process Optimization Consultant, Healthcare Consulting Company, Chapel Hill, NC

Evaluated the existing business processes for a major line of business, identifying methods to improve efficiencies, cost effectiveness, client management and employee engagement. Provided a road map to immediately improve operations and gain resource optimization. Assessed needs for additional leadership roles within the organization. Analyzed pricing strategy and offered recommendations to bring the current strategy into alignment with market and company needs. Outlined a project management process for all levels of the business line. Provided report analyzing findings and recommendations.

Managed student career services support and employer engagement during Associate Director’s leave.  Executed industry roundtable events, information sessions, workshops, and 4th annual Student Showcase, engaging major corporate partners.  Performed mock interviews, coaching students on improved presentation. Reviewed resumes and cover letters providing feedback to strengthen student materials.

Interim Academic Coordinator, Professional Masters Programs, Pratt School of Engineering

Managed student class registrationsincluding cross-departmental processes. Provided faculty support including coursepacks and technology licenses. Scheduled spring courses, interfacing with registrar office to ensure final specifications. Administered student academic needs encompassing assigning student advisors, visa services documents, grade changes and credit limits. Facilitated student graduation preparation for December graduates.

Consultant, Cost Reimbursement and Analysis, Duke University

 Analyzed targeted general ledger transactions for proper placement in the University’s Facilities and Administration Cost Study. Performed detailed analysis of general ledger data, researched vendor profiles, researched transactions of interest, created a vendor profile database, and ultimately recommended transfers of transactions to cost pools which more appropriately reflect the nature of the transaction per Uniform Guidance criteria. Documented the review process in detail for ease of future analysis. Created a final upload file of transfers identified in the review process. Used advanced functions in both SAP and Microsoft Excel to accomplish tasks.

Managed stakeholder evaluation of new federal Uniform Guidance regulation impact on internal policies and processes. Developed and executed project plan. Developed communication plan and coordinated development of communication vehicles including documents, PowerPoint presentations, and website content. Managed policy edits and development of new general accounting procedures.

Facilitated development of recommendations including areas of organization, leadership, change management, culture, training and technology improvements.

Project Manager, Duke University Buy@Duke Implementation

Directed 2.5 year implementation of major e-procurement technology system throughout Duke University and Duke University School of Medicine. Established implementation model and protocol, optimizing departmental support and resulting in> 80% adoption rate. Developed roll out schedule, administered all logistics, coordinated meetings and trainings, and drove timeline adherence. Managed public relations and communication. Designed support manual and provided educational material oversight. Managed implementation team. Coordinated teams of implementation support, technology development, trainers, procurement and multiple stakeholders.

Directed distance masters program, workshops, and seminars during Associate Director’s leave. Managed distance student residencies, coordinated campus workshop series and student assignments, brokered seminar speakers for weekly engagement, interfaced with vendors, students, administration.

Directed recruiting and marketing activity during Assistant Director of Admissions’ leave. Conducted applicant interviews, coordinated recruiting trips, managed program inquiries, edited marketing materials, hosted admission events.  Initiated new marketing strategies including faculty/advisor partnerships with feeder schools and article proposal for Duke Alumni Magazine.

Coordinated research, legal and strategy teams to defend Duke University research grant compliance audit findings. Managed data collection, research, analysis and development of official response report.
